EMC & safety testing and certification

Certification Body “Omega” carries out conformity assessment of the equipment included to the Unified list of the products subjected to the mandatory conformity assessment and is within the scope of the following Technical Regulations of the EAEU (previously Customs Union):

  • “On safety of the low voltage equipment” CU TR 004/2011;
  • “EMC of technical equipment” CU TR 020/2011;
  • “On safety of the wheeled vehicles” CU TR 018/2011;
  • “On safety of the machinery and equipment” CU TR 010/2011.

Certification Body “Omega” executes full scope of conformity validation procedures required for the labeling of products by the Unified Product Turnover Sign:

 Certification Body “Omega” uses the services of Testing center “Omega” for compliance testing in accordance with EAEU (CU TR) requirements.

TC “Omega” being a branch of the Radio Research and Development Institute (NIIR) is an independent, ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory, which has been included in the Unified Register of the certification bodies and testing laboratories (centers) of the EAEU (CU).

TC “Omega” provides wide range of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and electronic safety testing. High level of the professional competence of our specialists in combination with up-to-date measuring and test equipment allows to solve the most challenging tasks.

TC “Omega” is equipped with up-to-date testing facilities and measuring equipment including equipment manufactured by the leading producers (Rhode&Schwarz, Schwarzbeck, Tektronix, Fluke, etc). TC “Omega” owns:

  • shielded chambers for conducted disturbance measurements within the range 9 KHz - 30 MHz;
  • semi-anechoic and fully anechoic shielded chambers for radio emission measurements and electromagnetic radio frequency field immunity testing;
  • open area test sites for performing various types of testing in compliance with the National, European and International standards.

For the long period we have acquired experience of EMC and electrical safety testing for various purposes products, including:

Probe assemblies for measuring of various physical parameters in conjunction with environmental and mechanical strength, flame hazard and water / dust resistance testing equipment and electromagnetic fields measuring equipment being used by qualified and experienced engineers of TC “Omega” make possible to perform electrical safety tests on compliance with the National analogues of International standards such as (but not limited by):

Certification Body “Omega” supervises full cycle of the testing when carries out works on the mandatory Certification under requirements of EAEU (previously CU) Technical regulations additionally guarantying trusted result of the conformity assessment procedure.
